Police Launch Crackdown On Drug Trafficking In Jomvu And Kiembeni

Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit in Mombasa made a significant breakthrough when they apprehended Dominik Oseko Ngisa, the driver of a suspicious Toyota Axio, Registration No. KCK 544J, along the Mombasa-Nairobi Road in Jomvu.

The operation uncovered a large cache of cannabis hidden in the vehicle’s boot.

“The search revealed several large rolls of bhang, which had been carefully concealed,” said one of the officers involved in the operation.

“It shows the lengths traffickers will go to in order to hide illegal substances.”

In a coordinated effort, officers from Kiembeni Police Station raided a house near Kiembeni Primary School, where they seized six sacks of bhang.

However, as officers arrived at the location, the suspected trafficker managed to narrowly escape.

“The suspect managed to slip away just as we approached the scene,” said a Kiembeni Police officer.

“We were very close to making the arrest, but he evaded capture by a hair’s breadth.”

The arrested suspect, Ngisa, was immediately taken into custody, along with the confiscated drugs, and was escorted to Jomvu Police Station for processing.
