According to CCTV footage that has quickly gone viral online, the two thugs attempted to corner him by the roadside.
But instead of panicking, the man bent down, grabbed several stones, and began hurling them with precision.
One stone struck the attacker who had jumped off the bike, while another hit the rider, forcing the criminals to lose balance and flee in panic.
Kenyans on social media swiftly celebrated him as a hero, praising his courage and quick thinking at a time when many victims are often caught off guard by such surprise attacks.
Many argued that the Ruiru man’s brave stand proves that thugs can be repelled, even with the simplest tools, when one refuses to give up without a fight.

The chilling incident revived memories of a shocking case in Nyali, Mombasa, where CCTV cameras captured a man and his girlfriend being ambushed by motorcycle-riding thugs.

The lady ran to safety while the man remained behind, attempting to reason with the assailants, a moment that sparked national outrage.
A section of netizens later praised the man for staying behind and confronting the thugs, giving the woman he was with a chance to escape unharmed.
