Denno revealed that the post was in honor of their anniversary, though he kept the exact number of years they have been together under wraps.
He expressed deep gratitude to his wife for her unwavering support, especially through a tough 2025.

Fans flooded the comment section with warm wishes, celebrating the couple’s love story and praising Denno for publicly appreciating his partner.
This heartwarming reveal comes just weeks after the popular officer dismissed viral claims that he had been fired from the police force.
Social media had erupted with reports alleging that Denno was dismissed following his vocal support for anti-government demonstrations, while other sources claimed he had resigned to avoid further frustration.
Kenyans online had a field day, with some mocking him for “losing a good job because of activism,” while others expressed sympathy.
However, it later emerged that Afande Denno had neither resigned nor been dismissed.
Instead, he had been transferred to Garissa, where he resumed official duties almost immediately.

He personally confirmed the news in a video posted on Friday, October 24, 2025, where he was seen walking through the streets of Garissa, cheerfully interacting with residents.
In the clip, Denno addressed the rumours directly, calling out those who had celebrated his supposed downfall.
He explained that the viral claims were an experiment meant to test how Kenyans react to someone else’s misfortune.
“Back to system. Back to the roots. Mukisema tunaenda kuhangaika. Nlikua nawapima tu. Nlikua nataka kuona mutasema nini. Na nyinyi Wakenya are very good at demoralising people,” he said.
He added that he was disappointed by how quickly many people rushed to mock him instead of offering support.
Denno assured fans that he is fully back in service and settling into his new station in Garissa, promising to resume sharing more of his signature content soon.
