With that said, he thought it wise to always do due diligence before proceeding to call on Kenyans to send in their contributions.

It was during one of his due diligence trips that he encountered some ladies who had pleased for help in a bid to feed and sustain less fortunate kids.

On the morning of Thursday, August 21 2025, Eric Omondi took to social media and urged Kenyans to contribute towards his latest philanthropic project.

No sooner had hours elapsed than he came back online to share that the women in question were fake and were using innocent children to scam unsuspecting Kenyans.

According to Eric, the ladies were not genuine and had lied to him and thousands of other Kenyans who had already contributed money to assist the children.

Doing what most people would do, the comic called police on the ladies who were duly arrested and locked up at Kitengela Police Station.

He disclosed that in less than seven hours Kenyans had sent the ladies over Sh 1 million.
