Government To Fast-Track Development Projects In Northern Kenya – DP Kindiki

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to accelerating key development projects across Northern Kenya, as part of ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and implement affirmative action policies.

Speaking after a consultative meeting held at Karen, Nairobi, DP Kindiki said the administration is prioritising investments in roads, electricity, housing, markets, healthcare, and education to address historical marginalisation and ensure equitable national development.

“We are determined to fast-track critical infrastructure and social development projects in Northern Kenya to bridge regional disparities and uplift communities that have long been left behind,” said the Deputy President.

DP Kindiki met with 20 Members of Parliament representing constituencies in the counties of Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa to assess the progress of ongoing Government programmes and identify priority areas requiring immediate attention.

The meeting focused on tracking the implementation of projects under various national development plans, including those targeting arid and semi-arid regions.

The Deputy President assured the MPs that the Government would continue to work closely with local leaders to ensure that all interventions are tailored to the unique needs of the region and delivered effectively.
