TikTok allows users to create and manage multiple accounts on a single device, making it easy to separate personal content from professional or niche-focused videos. Whether you’re managing a business profile, a fan page, or simply using one account for fun and another for more curated content, switching between TikTok accounts is quick and straightforward. Here is how to switch accounts on TikTok.
Why Switch Between Accounts?
Many TikTok users manage more than one account to cater to different audiences or purposes. For example, content creators might use one account for comedy and another for tutorials. Businesses often operate separate brand pages. Switching between accounts helps you keep content organized and relevant to each audience without the need for multiple devices.
Steps to Switch Accounts on TikTok
To begin, make sure you are logged into all the TikTok accounts you want to access from your device. TikTok currently allows users to log in to up to three accounts simultaneously. If you haven’t added a second account yet, you can do so before switching.
Open the TikTok app and go to your profile by tapping the Profile icon at the bottom right corner of the screen. Once on your profile, tap your username at the top of the screen. A small drop-down menu will appear, showing the accounts you’ve logged into on that device.
From this list, tap the username of the account you wish to switch to. TikTok will immediately switch you to that account, and you will now be able to access the feed, post videos, check notifications, and interact as that user.
Adding a New TikTok Account
If the account you want to switch to hasn’t been added yet, tap the same username drop-down menu and select Add account. You’ll be guided through the login process, either by entering your credentials or by choosing a method such as using your phone number, email, or social media profile. Once logged in, the new account will be available in your account switch list.
Managing Multiple TikTok Accounts
It’s important to note that while you can switch accounts easily, you won’t receive notifications for all accounts simultaneously. You’ll only see notifications for the account you’re currently using. To keep track of activity on multiple accounts, you’ll need to check each one manually by switching between them.

TikTok doesn’t allow more than three accounts to be logged in at the same time. If you want to access a different account beyond the three, you’ll need to log out of one to add another. Be sure to save login credentials securely to avoid being locked out.
