Israel’s Military Kills 20 Palestinian Militants In Raid On Kamal Adwan Hospital In Northern Gaza

Israel’s military announced that it had killed around 20 Palestinian militants during a raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

The operation, described as one of the largest in the region, took place on Friday in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.

According to the Israeli military, the raid resulted in the destruction of powerful explosive devices and the apprehension of 240 militants associated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

The World Health Organization reported that the raid left the hospital, the last major healthcare facility in the area, completely emptied of both patients and staff.

The military further stated that the hospital’s director, Hossam Abu Safiyeh, was detained under suspicion of being a Hamas member.

The operation was described as a major effort to apprehend terrorists, marking one of the largest single-location operations since the war began.

As part of the raid, Israeli forces claimed to have identified 15 militants who participated in the deadly Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

The military also asserted that the raid targeted a Hamas command center within the hospital, an accusation that Hamas denies.

Since October 6, Israeli operations in Gaza have been concentrated in the northern part of the territory, where the military says its objective is to prevent Hamas from regrouping.
