Royal Media Services (RMS) Group Editorial Director Linus Kaikai has added yet another feather to his illustrious cap.
Kaikai, celebrated for his sharp wit and deep understanding of legal and political affairs, was on Thursday, November 20, admitted to the Bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Nairobi News has learnt that Kaikai was among 916 petitioners admitted to the Bar at the Supreme Court on the aforementioned date.
This publication understands the ceremony was presided over by Chief Justice Martha Koome and attended by top legal minds, including Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Faith Odhiambo.
The petitioners, including Kaikai, took the oath before the Chief Justice and signed the Roll of Advocates.

During the ceremony, Senior Counsel Philip Murgor, Chairperson of the Senior Counsel Bar (SCB), urged the new advocates to uphold integrity and character.
“Winning at all costs will cost you too. Many times, you will be called upon to speak for citizens; please never shy away from that, as the law is both a calling and a public duty. During the Gen Z protests, hundreds of young demonstrators were detained. The calling of a lawyer in such circumstances is to lead the way and provide pro bono services,” SC Murgor said.
LSK President Faith Odhiambo, on her part, reminded the new advocates that they join the profession at a time when the nation is renegotiating the value of rights, calling on them to be guardians and innovators.
“You are a generation that refuses to work in silence,” she said.
“As you enter the law practice, remember that justice is not a slogan; it is a long-term commitment. Ours is a profession built on standing up for one another,” she added.
The LSK further recognized Kaikai, urging him to “live by the oath of being an advocate, above the oath that you took as a journalist.”
Following his admission, Kaikai took to social media, posting a photo of himself in an advocate’s gown and wig, accompanied by the caption:
“Cometh the day, Cometh the hour…”
The achievement impressed thousands of his fans and followers, who flocked to the comments section to congratulate him.
