Fresh reports reaching Nairobi News indicate that the legislator allegedly ‘found’ and even called a young lad believed to be in possession Mjaka Mfine’s iPhone, asking him to return the phone he had stolen from the lady.

The matter took an interesting turn when the young man’s mum came out to face Jalang’o and Mjaka over the iPhone 16 theft.

In a video that has fast gone viral online, the lady wondered why Jalang’o was calling her son and harassing him yet she is the one who bought the phone for him.

The woman wondered why the Lang’ata MP was involved in the whole thing instead of the DCI who are mandated to handle such cases.

The lady insisted that she bought the iPhone 16 from a reputable Nairobi electronics shop and has receipts and boxing to corroborate the same.

The lady’s post attracted the attention of many netizens who wondered why and how Jalang’o found himself in the middle of the phone theft drama.

According to the mum, the politician should have handed the case to DCI and let them do their work instead of harassing her son with endless calls.

Her sentiments were echoed by a section of netizens who wanted to know Jalang’o’s interest in the case.

Some insinuated that Jalang’o could be Mjaka Mfine’s lover and was the one who allegedly bought the phone for the content creator, hence his involvement.

A multitude of Kenyans picked issue with Jalang’o and Mfine, putting them to task to explain how the former is involved in the whole hullabaloo.

Most netizens claimed Jalang’o could possibly be Mjaka’s lover and had just jumped in to recover a lost phone he had bought for the beauty.

Nairobi News cannot authoritatively confirm if the two are an item or if indeed Jalang’o is the one who bought the phone for the beauty or not.

The ugly turn of events angered many Kenyans including self-proclaimed billionaire Madollar Mapesa who called out Mjaka Mfine and Jalang’o over the same.

Taking to social media, Madollar wrote;

“These content creators, you wonder if the level of their pettiness is inbuilt or it’s just advanced poverty. Saw a story somewhere. This one lost her phone in some campus event, then accused an innocent boy of stealing the phone after seeing a post made by him with a similar phone cover resembling hers. She then goes ahead and reports the matter, and the DCI starts harassing the boy and his mother,” he wrote.

His sentiments were replicated by countless Kenyans who noted that there is more to the whole iPhone 16 theft issue than meet the eye.
