Nigerian superstar Davido is widely regarded as one of the most beloved musicians globally and consistently receives massive love wherever he performs.
While most of his fans enjoy the show from designated viewing areas, some are often desperate for a closer, more personal moment with the singer, even in the middle of a performance.
This was evident recently when an overexcited fan broke through security barriers and made his way onto the stage as Davido entertained fans with back-to-back hits.
Nairobi News understands that on November 29, 2025, Davido performed at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan during the Five Alive Tour.
The concert was electrifying, with attendees screaming at the top of their lungs as they sang along to the award-winning crooner’s biggest songs.

Midway through the performance, a visibly aggressive fan suddenly charged toward the stage and managed to access it while attempting to reach Davido.
In a video that has since gone viral online, the man is seen sprinting past security and closing in on the singer, who appeared startled and quickly put his guard up.
Fortunately, Davido’s bodyguards intercepted the fan before he could make physical contact, allowing the artiste to step back from the commotion and continue performing.
Moments later, Davido was seen returning to check on the situation as security personnel pinned the man to the ground.

The singer then urgently instructed his guards to release the fan.
Davido resumed the show to loud cheers from the crowd.
Online users who watched the video noted that the “Unavailable” hitmaker appeared terrified during the encounter, with many commenting that fear was clearly written on his face.
However, many praised Davido for handling the situation calmly and choosing a peaceful approach, unlike some celebrities who would have ordered security to eject the fan forcefully.
