Police are pursuing assailants behind the murder of a 60-year-old man whose body was found lying in a house in Igonga area, Kisii County.
The body of Harun Mokaya was found in his house after he had been murdered, police said adding he may have been killed elsewhere and his body delivered to the secondary scene on February 26 morning.
Fresh blood was oozing from his right ear and there were injuries in both legs and marks of strangulation in the neck.
Police said they were yet to establish the motive of the murder and that the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
The hunt on the suspected killers continued on Friday, police said.
In Kolowa, Baringo County, a man was stabbed to death by his brother in a fight over a dispute on their land.
The police said Poroo Kariwo was stabbed in the ribs in the drama and died on the spot in their mother’s homestead.
The family told police the two differed and argued over a piece of land before it degenerated to a fight that went bad.
According to the police, the assailant escaped the scene soon after the attack on February 26 in the morning.
The body was picked up to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Murder incidents have been on the rise amid investigations by authorities for justice.
Elsewhere in Gatunga, Tharaka Nithi County, a man died after he was injured at a construction site.
Police said Abel Njeru, 32 was at a construction site in the local shopping centre when he sustained an injury from a grinder he was using to trim timber.
He sustained a deep cut in the left leg and bled to death. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.
