Songstress and businesswoman Esther Akothee has come out to console a police officer who was recently hurt during the Saba Saba anniversary protests.
The mother of five Sympathised with the officers and his family in an emotional social media post accessed by Nairobi News.
In a post shared on Akothee’s Facebook page on the night of Monday, July 7, the musician shared a photo of an unidentified police officer who was bleeding profusely, followed by a short and touching caption.

Akothee noted that the injured officer is someone’s son, husband, father, cousin and even a grandchild while sharing in his pain.
According to Akothee, being a police officer has become a tall order and seems like a punishment in current times.
The Baby Daddy hitmakers disclosed how traumatised she was after coming across the photo of the injured police officer.
Akothee wrapped up her post by sending love and warm wishes to the officer.
“Another woman’s son, another woman’s husband a father to his children, a brother a cousin, a grandchild to someone, a hero to a community. In my next life being a police officer looks like a punishment and not the job many admired before. I am traumatized very. Pole bro #towhomwillmothersturntoo

Her post attracted the attention of her fans who camped in the comments section to air their different views.
While some netizens sympathised with the injured police officer, many insisted he deserved what he got.
Many who commented on Akothee’s post bashed police officers holding that the injuries inflicted on them was good riddance.
The musician’s post came just hours after scores of Kenyans took to the streets to commemorate Saba Saba day.
Businesses and normal activities across various towns were crippled as police barricaded major roads leading to and out of the areas.
Various fatalities were reported as well as injuries inflicted on both police and wananchi.
