Gospel singer Guardian Angel’s wife, Esther Musila, has called on President William Ruto to act fast and implement the newly signed Cyber Crime Bill following a cruel online challenge targeting Raila Odinga Jr’s physical appearance.
Taking to social media on the evening of Tuesday, October 21, the 54-year-old entrepreneur and philanthropist expressed outrage after a section of Kenyans on TikTok started sharing videos mocking the late Raila Odinga’s son, particularly focusing on his lips.
Musila described the trend as “disgusting and shameful,” calling on authorities to take firm action against those responsible.
“This is the most disgusting and painful thing I have seen today. All for likes and views! May each one of you know no peace!”she wrote.
“This is what content creation has become, disgusting to the core! SHAME AND ASHAME THESE CREATURES! William Samoei Ruto, this Cyber Crime Bill needs to take effect ASAP,” she added.

TikToker Awino Nyar Awino in Trouble After Mocking Raila Jr
The uproar follows a recent scandal involving a TikToker identified as Tabitha Awino, popularly known as Awino Nyar Awino, who came under fire for making demeaning remarks about Raila Jr’s looks during a live video session.
Awino crudely claimed that Raila Jr looked “different from his siblings” and even referred to his “crooked mouth”, comments that outraged Kenyans, many of whom found them cruel, ignorant, and insensitive, especially as the country continues to mourn former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Her comments quickly backfired, sparking a massive online backlash.
Furious netizens accused her of chasing clout through disrespect and mockery of a grieving family.
Within hours, Kenya’s famed “online DCI” dug into her personal details, including her hometown and family background, leading the TikToker to delete her account and reportedly go into hiding.

Calls for Action Under Cyber Crime Bill
Esther Musila’s public outcry has reignited a national debate on digital ethics and cyberbullying, with many Kenyans demanding strict enforcement of the Cyber Crime Bill, which President Ruto recently assented to.
The law is expected to curb online harassment, defamation, and digital misconduct, all of which have been rampant on Kenyan social media spaces in recent years.
As the dust settles, Kenyans are urging influencers and creators to embrace responsible content creation, warning that chasing clout at the expense of others’ dignity could soon come with legal consequences.
