Sensational singer Iyanii has opened a can of worms after disclosing the challenges he has been facing while trying to get booked for major local shows and international music tours.
The musician recently called out Kenyan events promoters and organisers for always sidelining him while selecting performers for their events.
In an post shared in his Insta-stories updates, the musician wondered why promoters have been ignoring him yet he is one of the best Kenyan vocalist with countless massive hit songs under his belt.

According to Iyanii, most promoters first ignored him but later got to be moved by his talent and even convinced the world that they believed in him.
However, they all end up snubbing him for events, something that always gets him off the hinges.
The star insisted that promoters should book artists based on their talents, hit songs and popularity on ground.
He wrapped up by declaring that he will not be discouraged by the ill motives by promoters and will keep working hard and prove all doubting Thomases wrong.
“First they ignore you, then they hear you, then they act like they always believed in you. Let the music talk – I’m done explaining. A time is coming, watch this space. Ni ma GRAMMY tu ndio tunangoja,” he wrote.

His statement came barely hours after countless Kenyans camped on his Instagram page to plead with events organisers and promoters to consider him for shows.
Many insisted that he has everything it takes to headline various local events thanks to his hit songs, melodious voice and connection with music lovers.
Iyanii is one of Kenya’s top vocalists whose countless hit songs have been renting the airwaves for a minute.
However, he has not been booked for various local events despite his hard work and resilience.
