Position Overview
Burhani Schools Tanzania is inviting applications for a passionate and skilled Sports Teacher to lead our Physical Education program.
The ideal candidate will specialise in Cricket, Hockey, and Swimming, guiding students to excel both athletically and personally.
This role focuses on developing technical abilities, promoting physical fitness, and instilling discipline and sportsmanship among learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Physical Education lessons, emphasizing Cricket, Hockey, and Swimming.
- Design and implement training schedules, lesson plans, and performance assessment tools for students.
- Monitor and support the physical growth and sporting progress of students.
- Prepare student teams for local and inter-school competitions, tournaments, and swimming events.
- Uphold high standards of discipline, safety, and professionalism in all sporting activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in departmental meetings and contribute to extracurricular program planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Relevant teaching or coaching certifications (e.g., Lifeguard, Cricket/Hockey coaching) are preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in coaching or teaching Physical Education.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong motivational skills to inspire students in both training and competition.
