CNN’s Africa’s correspondent Larry Madowo has been doing most in trying to make Kenya a greater place.
From fearlessly covering the Gen Z, to taking Kenyan leaders up to task through his interviews, to exposing the rot in different government institutions, Larry has indeed been making Kenyans proud with his boldness.
With that said, the scribe on Thursday, October 9, 2025, had an unfortunate run in with a Kenyan politician who behaved in a not so honorable manner.
Madowo took to his social media pages and posted a video of himself trying to block the politician with his driver who were driving on the wrong side of the road.

The journalist confronted the politician in a calm manner but the response he got irked countless netizens who launched a scathing attack against the leader.
In the video, Larry could be heard saying;
“Hawa wasee walikuwa wanadrive on the wrong side. Nikawablock halafu wakaniambia hivi.”
The politician’s driver is then heard telling him to take his ‘nonsense’ to William Ruto.
“Pelekea Ruto. Takataka,” the politician said.
Madowo posted the video while expressing his disappointment at the politician.
It did not take long before Kenyans unearthed the identity of the politician.
The politician was identified as Kibra MP Mwalimu Orero.
A host of netizens trickled the comments section of Larry Madowo to first of all, laud him for his bravery and secondly, to call out the MP.
Quite a number of Kenyans who commented condemned the MP holding that most Kenyan politicians need to be recalled for their bad behaviours.
