Cricket
He first played for New South Wales cricket team in a match against the Indian national cricket team in December 1999. Later, he played for Ramsbottom Cricket Club which resulted in him being the first player to hit a double century in England’s Lancashire League history, in 2002.

In October 2004, he played his first Test form representing Australia against India. He ended up scoring 151 runs and most importantly was named the player of the match as Australia won. In November that same year, he scored 141 runs and was also named player of the match. This was at a Test match against New Zealand.
In November 2007, he played against Sri Lanka in a Test series and ended up being the top-scorer with 145 not out.
