Nairobi CBD has become a gangsta’s paradise if candid revelation by content creator Mjaka Mfine is anything to go by.
Social media has in the past few weeks been filled with complaints from Nairobi residents who shared their experiences with muggers who have fast taken over the CBD.
Many disclosed how they lost valuables including money and electronic gadgets in the hands of merciless thieves who have been having a field day with them in the city.

Mjaka Mfine Loses Expensive Wig To Muggers
Local celebrities have not been spared either as some have also suffered in hands of the muggers.
The beautiful content creator recently reminisced on how she lost a very expensive wig to robbers in Nairobi CBD.
Speaking during an interview with Milele FM’s presenter Tony Mwirigi on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Mjaka revealed that she lost her human hair wig, valued at Sh 17,000 to thieves in Nairobi CBD.
According to the lass, the incident dented her pocket and mood as human hair wigs typically retail between Sh 15,000 and Sh 17,000.
“Human hair inaanza na Sh 15K and above. Yangu ilikuwa Sh 17K,” she disclosed.
Mjaka Mfine said she was so shocked by the robbery – so much so that she did not even thinking of calling anyone to come to her rescue.
“I did not call anyone,” she stated.
Robberies In Nairobi CBD
Nairobi News has learnt there have been reports of thieves mugging unsuspecting Kenyans in Nairobi CBD, a situation that posses a serious security risk to most people if not everyone.

Countless social media users have come out online to caution fellow Kenyans on the rising case of insecurity in the capital city.
Reports indicate that the muggers have gone back to the old ways of using human stool to threaten their victims before stripping them off their valuables.
Others are said to be using syringes to instil fear in Nairobi residents before robbing them.
Even with the massive public uproar over the same, Nairobi County Government, through Governor Johnson Sakaja is yet to address the surging life-threatening issue.
