Detectives are currently conducting an investigation into the murder of a 34-year-old woman whose remains were found concealed in a sack and left in a thicket in the Utawala area of Nairobi.
Authorities reported that the body of Jennifer Mutheu Nzula was discovered stuffed into a sack and secured with a laundry cloth at the edge of the thicket along Githuguri Road.
Upon discovery on Monday, October 28, the body exhibited no visible signs of injury.
It has since been transported to the mortuary, where it awaits an autopsy and further investigation.
Police believe that the woman may have been murdered at a different location before her body was disposed of at the site.
Efforts to locate the potential perpetrators are currently underway.
In Kipipiri, Nyandarua, human remains were discovered on a farm.
Employees of Maleshani Limited, which spans approximately 139 acres, reported that while they were tilling a section of the unused land adjacent to the Lereshwa River, they unearthed what appeared to be the remains of an adult.
The skeletal remains included rib bones, vertebrae, and limb bones.
Police arrived at the location, conducted an investigation, and collected the remains, which were subsequently transported to JM Kariuki Hospital Mortuary for further examination and identification by a pathologist.
In a separate incident, a security guard stationed at Millennium Krishna Apartments in the Kilimani area was found deceased in a swimming pool.
Christopher Juma, aged 42, was on night duty with a colleague when the incident occurred.
According to a coworker, they separated around midnight to attend to the backyard but Juma’s lifeless body was latwr discovered floating in the pool.
Authorities responded to the scene, retrieved the body, and transported it to the City morgue for an autopsy and further investigation.
Additionally, in the Kamkunji area, a human body was located floating in the Nairobi River.
Police responded to the scene and recovered the body of a middle-aged man, later identified as Mutiria John Njagi, aged 31.
An identification card and a mobile phone were found in his pockets.
