Reggae emcee Maicy Kartellah and her entire family have been thrown into mourning following the sad and sudden demise of her brother.
Nairobi News has learnt the Radio 47’s presenter lost her brother on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
A heartbroken Maicy took to social media to inform her followers about the sad news as she shared a loving tribute to the late brother.
In her post, the lass disclosed her brother had suffered a lot, in and out of hospital, a fight he fought bravely until the aforementioned date.
She revealed that his death has hurt her very much and left a big void in her heart.

She wrapped up by noting that life will never be the same for her without her brother.
“Today my heart is heavy beyond words. 💔 I have lost my only brother this morning. It has been a tough year watching him go in and out of hospital, fighting so many battles with so much strength. I tried my best being there for him, prayed and hoped for better days, but God had other plans. I can’t explain the pain I feel, the emptiness, the questions, and the tears that won’t stop flowing. Rest well my brother 🕊🕊. Say hi to mum & dad…. Life will never be the same 😭😭.
Forever in my heart…❤️” She wrote.
