Kenya as a country and some of its top musicians played a major role in shaping the East African music scene.
Former Starehe MP Jaguar happens to be among the many Kenyans who helped in nurturing and elevating the lives of many creatives through local and international shows.
Then, Jaguar was not just big as a musician but also as a events promoters who booked countless East African musicians for shows locally and abroad.
Tanzanian singer TID is among the many beneficiaries of Jaguar’s many events in the United Kingdom a couple of years ago.
The musician reminisced on the good old days as he pleaded with Jaguar to organise yet another show for him in the UK, at the same venue like their previous one.
Taking to his Instagram page on Thursday, September 25, 2025, he shared an old photo of himself, Jaguar and other Tanzanian industry players while in the UK, followed by a caption to heap praises on the Kenyan politician.

“TBT back in London na tajiri Mheshimiwa Jaguar. Hana hata papara, katulia tu anawaangalia wa-TZ kama Chris Chagula anafanya Vitu vingi sana. Jaguar naomba hii irudiwe in London same venue,” he wrote.
TID’s post attracted the attention of his fans and lovers of old school East African music who camped in the comments section to echo his sentiments.
Many tagged Jaguar and pleaded with him to look into TID’s proposal.
