Oga Obinna, born Steve Thompson Maghana on June 6, 1990, is a multitalented Kenyan entertainer, comedian, radio and TV personality, musician, and online content creator.
Hailing from Maseno, Kisumu County, he carries a rich cultural heritage his father is Kenyan (Luo) and his mother is of Igbo descent from Nigeria.
Early Life & Rise to Fame
In 2009, Obinna packed his dreams and moved to Nairobi to find his place in the world. He started with odd jobs and nighttime music gigs, earning as little as Sh 300–500 per show.
His big break came when Esther Macharia of Nation Media Group helped him secure a radio internship at Q-FM.
From there, his journey into mainstream entertainment began—radio, television, comedy, and eventually, internet stardom.
