Vaida crooner Harry Richie has shown other local artists how to behave when their colleagues get mistreated by events organisers.
The musician proved to his fans and fellow musicians that he can turn down money all in a bid to defend and protect his colleagues in the music industry.
This is after the celebrated Luhyia musician turned down an event after learning what the organisers had done to his colleague from Western Kenya, Comedian Senjee.

Taking to his Facebook page on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the star pulled himself out of the Amabega Festival which was slated for October 11, at the Ngong Racecourse.
According to Harry, he made the decision as a move to lead by example.
Richie disclosed that he was not pleased by the organisers after they manipulated Comedian Senjee.
He did not mention what the organisers did to Senjee but reiterated that he can bever sit back and relax as evil prevails.
However, he dropped hints that Senjee may have been excluded in the event, a move that violated the gender equality clause for local events.
He insisted that women should be respected.
He wrapped up by noting that the people frustrating others in the music industry will one day be exposed, leaving them with nowhere to hide.

“Considering gender equality i will lead by example, i have officially pulled myself out of amabeka festival due to manipulation that they did to our own blood sister Senjee Senjee .
It is evident and out there on tiktok through our last night live conversation. Women must be respected, let men fight men and spare women.
All these things that are being done in darkness, soon they will be out in a day broadlight and some people will have no place to hide their faces because of shame!!!!, trust me,” Richie wrote.
His revelation impressed most of his fans and other Kenyans who lauded him for standing up for the other gender.
Many even called on other male musicians to borrow a leaf from him for the sake of changing things in the cruel music industry.
