Comedian Eric Omondi successfully concludes “Walk of Love” from Nairobi to Mombasa to raise funds for charity

Comedian and entertainer Eric Omondi began a landmark charity walk from Nairobi to Mombasa on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, setting off from Nyayo National Stadium in a campaign he has dubbed the “Walk of Love.”

The initiative aims to raise funds for the Sisi Kwa Sisi Help & Rescue Centre, a project supporting vulnerable communities through education, healthcare, and food security.

The nearly 500 km journey is designed to have Kenyans “buy a kilometre,” donating towards the construction of key facilities, including a free secondary school, a medical clinic, ambulances, and a food distribution warehouse.

Beyond fundraising, Omondi’s walk has drawn national attention to issues such as poverty, hunger, limited access to education, and healthcare challenges affecting marginalized families. Media coverage and social media updates amplified the conversation on community support and civic engagement.

Omondi used his influence as a public figure to encourage young people to actively participate in community service and philanthropy. The walk demonstrated that celebrities can lead by example, mobilize resources, and take direct action beyond online advocacy.
