Ruto’s ally Farouk Kibet causes melee online with cryptic post after alleged firing from State House

Farouk Kibet, a long-time aide and close confidant of William Ruto, has set social media abuzz after sharing a cryptic message amid swirling rumours about his alleged dismissal from State House.

Farouk, often described as President Ruto’s right-hand man and one of the most influential figures in his inner circle, took to Facebook in a post sighted by Nairobi News on Tuesday, March 3.

The brief but pointed message immediately triggered speculation, with many Kenyans attempting to read between the lines.

In the post, Farouk wrote:

“Every man is an architect of his destiny.”

The statement, while seemingly motivational, has been widely interpreted as more than just a philosophical reflection.

Coming at a time when rumour mills have gone into overdrive with reports that he may have been fired from his position at State House, the post left many netizens with more questions than answers.

For years, Farouk has been seen as one of President Ruto’s most trusted allies, playing a key role in political mobilization and strategy both before and after the 2022 General Election.

His presence at high-profile meetings and state functions cemented his image as a powerful behind-the-scenes operator within the Kenya Kwanza administration.

However, unverified reports circulating online in recent days have claimed that Farouk may have been relieved of his duties.

Nairobi News cannot authoritatively confirm whether Farouk Kibet was indeed fired or if the reports are merely speculative.

The lack of an official communication from the State House has only fueled public curiosity.

As a result, Farouk’s cryptic message has been interpreted by some as a subtle response to the alleged developments.

On social media, reactions poured in within minutes of the post going live.

One Facebook user commented:

“Are you telling us you have moved on or what exactly do you mean?”

Another wrote:

“When a big man starts posting such quotes, just know something is cooking behind the scenes.”

A third netizen added:

“We stand with you Farouk. Politics is never permanent.”

Ferdinand Kibett posted:

“I don’t think you’d want to be an enemy to someone who eliminated all his enemies.”

Kibet Kering said:

“A chief doesn’t fall because his cabinet members argue but because his stool is eaten from beneath.”

Dennis K Chepkwony wrote:

“Naskia ulifikuzwa State house na Rachel…Who is an architect in this case based on your statement (8mks).”

Mwana Arsenalii stated:

“Pride comes before a fall.”

Mike Maikoh posted:

“This is meant for Kasongo ears..”

MC Isaac Sayioki said:

“Have you been GACHAGUAD???”

Others, however, dismissed the speculation, arguing that the message could simply be a motivational quote unrelated to any political developments.

“Not everything is about drama. Maybe he is just inspiring people,” one user remarked.

The online debate highlights Farouk’s influence in Kenya’s political landscape.

Rarely in the public spotlight despite his proximity to power, any perceived shift in his status is bound to generate widespread interest.

As the speculation continues, Kenyans now await clarity from either Farouk himself or official State House channels to determine whether the rumours hold any truth.

Until then, his words in his post:

“Every man is an architect of his destiny,” remain open to interpretation, keeping the political grapevine alive.
