President Ruto meets Kitui MCAs to discuss key development projects

President William Ruto on Friday met with 40 Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) from Kitui County at State House Nairobi to discuss strategies for accelerating priority development projects in the county.

The delegation was led by the Speaker of the Kitui County Assembly, Kevin Kinengo Katisya.

According to the President, the meeting focused on fast-tracking critical development programmes aimed at improving livelihoods and boosting economic growth in the region.

“We discussed ways to fast-track priority development projects and programmes, including the construction and rehabilitation of dams to address water challenges, key roads to open up the county, affordable housing, modern markets, and student hostels,” President Ruto said.

The discussions also highlighted other priority initiatives such as the last-mile electricity connectivity programme and the issuance of title deeds to resolve land ownership challenges in the county.

The Head of State emphasized that the government is committed to working closely with leaders from across the country to ensure equitable distribution of resources and inclusive development.
