45-year-old man found in thicket in Msambweni, Kwale County


A 45-year-old man was found murdered and his body dumped in a thicket in Msambweni, Kwale County.

Police said they visited the scene and found the half naked body of the man in the busjes long after he had been murdered. It had decomposed when it was discovered on March 31, police said.

The body also had a deep cut in the right shoulder, back, neck and leg. The motive of the murder is yet to be known.

Police moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.

In Matuu, Machakos County, one Paul Muinde, 30 was found dead and with burns on his body after suspected murder.

Police said the body had burns on his legs and hands probably caused by hot water.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

The motive of the murder was not immediately known, police said.

In Kyeleni, Machakos County, a 16-year-old boy was found drowned in a dam. The body was moved to the mortuary.

In Likuyani, Kakamega County, a man was found dead and his body decomposed in River Kipsangui. The man identified as Ronald Muluku, 26 had been missing for four days before his body was discovered on March 31 and moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.

In Ntimaru, Migori County a three and half-year-old baby boy drowned in a borehole after he accidentally fell therein.

Police said the child had stepped on a wooden cover of the borehole when he fell into the same. The cover had rotten and was weak, police said as they oversaw the retrieval of the body to the mortuary.

In Mwingi, Kitui County, a woman aged 25 drowned in a river as she bathed, police said.

Police said Esther Mawia was bathing on the River Tana when she drowned on March 31.

Her body was found beside the river after the incident. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
