A family is mourning after their three-year-old daughter drowned in a river in Karandi area, Laikipia County.
The minor was playing with other friends in the Bondeni area when she slipped into a river and drowned, police said of the April 1 incident.
Her body was found stuck in Kinyotu bridge after the incident and moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.
And an electrician was electrocuted in an incident in Chiga, Kisumu County.
The body of Edwin Omondi, 39 was found in a pool of water after the incident on April 1, police said.
The victim was at a construction site and on duty when he was hit. He was connecting electric cables to a nearby church from the source of power when he was hit, police and Kenya Power and Lighting officials said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Such incidents have been linked to use of quacks in wiring and illegal power connections amid efforts to address them.
And a land dispute turned tragic when a 52-year-old man died in an attack using an arrow in Katikomor, West Pokot County.
Police said Abraham Chemala was in his farm when he was hit by an arrow in the spine and died on the spot.
Locals tried to torch houses belonging to the suspected assailant in a drama as police moved in to calm the situation.
Nine homes were torched in the drama as the body was moved to the mortuary for other procedures.
Police had to shoot to the air to calm the situation amid rising tension.
Such murder incidents have been on the rise amid calls for parties to solve their disputes amicably. Most murder incidents are linked to land disputes and love triangles.
