The Kenyan TikTok community is mourning the sudden death of digital content creator and actor Byron Otieno Kombora, whose passing has sparked an outpouring of grief and heartfelt tributes from fellow creators, friends and fans.
News of Byron’s death emerged on Sunday, July 27, after friends and popular social media pages shared the heartbreaking announcement online. By the time of publication, the cause of his death had not been officially disclosed.

Known on TikTok by the handle @otienobyron16 under the name “vibewithkombora,” Byron collaborated with several online personalities, including popular TikToker Mitchelle Joyce Akoth Oruko, better known as Mjaka Mfine.
Besides comedy, Byron frequently shared videos celebrating Luo music, often posting clips of himself dancing and lip-syncing to popular songs. His social media pages also captured moments spent with friends during outdoor activities, including swimming and social gatherings.
