In 2010, he played for Middlesex County Cricket Club in England. He also acted as the interim captain for the 2010 Twenty20 Cup. At the end of the match, he had scored 212 runs and a batting average of 30.28.

During the ODIs, he made his first half-century playing for Australia. In addition to this, he made his maiden ODI century while helping Australia to win the title. This happened during the 1997-1998 Carlton & United series.

At the end of the 1999 Cricket World Cup, he had 525 runs, two centuries, and 27 dismissals in 12 matches. Furthermore, he was the most successful batsman and wicket-keeper in the 1999 Aiwa Cup. He had 231 runs and an average of 46.20. Later, he retired from international cricket in 2008.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 

Adam Gilchrist signed with Deccan Chargers cricket team for the 2008 IPL for $700,000. Afterwards, he joined Kings XI Punjabi for $900,000. Furthermore, he was appointed the captain then in March 2012, the coach of the team.
