Akothee to gift orphan brand new MacBook laptop worth Sh200k after scoring A in KCSE

Singer Akothee has come out to celebrate one of the children she has been sponsoring through school after exemplary KCSE results.

The musician on Friday, January 9, 2025, took to social media to laud one of the beneficiaries of the Akothee Foundation who scored a mean grade of A in his 2025 KCSE exams.

Taking to her social media pages, the star posted photos of her “adopted” son, his KCSE results and a screenshot of a chat between them, with her congratulating him.

In the conversation, the young man, identified as Darel Itieka, and who schooled at Maranda Boys High School was asked what he would want to make his life better and, in his response, he only asked for a laptop to help him with his studies.

His request impressed many netizens online as countless netizens heaped praises on him for asking for a laptop for his studies, a request that is totally opposite of what his age mates, namely Gen Zs, would have asked for.

Akothee, through her post, promised to buy Itieka a brand new MacBook laptop as per his request in a bid to celebrate his achievement.
