Kenyan content creator Arap Uria has hit back at critics questioning his source of income and charitable activities, insisting that he is a hardworking man who has built his success through legitimate brand partnerships and entertainment.
The comedian’s response comes days after he showed off his impressive bungalow, attracting attention from social media users and sparking conversations about his achievements, finances and growing profile in the entertainment industry.
In a strongly worded statement, Arap Uria expressed disappointment with people he accused of being jealous and negative, arguing that some critics were quick to judge him without understanding the work he does behind the scenes.
“Some people are just so jealous and negative,” he began, before explaining that he earns money through commercial partnerships with established companies.
“I want to make it clear that I am a hardworking man who has worked with big brands such as Predator Energy Drink, Betika, PesaLink, DStv, SuperSport, Showmax and many others who pay me for my work,” he stated.
The content creator maintained that his earnings come from his professional engagements and that his growing profile has created opportunities to work with companies seeking to reach audiences through digital platforms.
Arap Uria rose to prominence through his viral videos, particularly his distinctive impersonations of football commentator Peter Drury.
His expressive facial reactions and comedy clips helped him attract attention online, opening doors to commercial partnerships and other opportunities in the entertainment industry.
His recent bungalow reveal has further drawn attention to his progress, with social media users discussing the property and the milestones he has achieved through content creation.
According to online reports, Arap Uria recently shared images of his unfinished three-bedroom bungalow, prompting conversations about his achievements and source of income.
Another report published on October 14 indicated that his four-bedroom bungalow in Eldoret was approximately 80% complete at the time, with an additional study room included in the design.
The attention surrounding his home appears to have coincided with renewed scrutiny of his finances, prompting him to explain that his professional work and personal charitable activities should not be confused.
Beyond entertainment and brand endorsements, Arap Uria says he has been using his online influence to mobilise assistance for vulnerable people, including individuals battling illnesses and families facing financial difficulties.
He explained that these initiatives are voluntary and are not intended to generate profits, noting that he relies on his social media following to bring people together and support those in need.
“I only volunteer when it comes to giving back to the community. I use my social media platforms to mobilise my online family to support less fortunate and sick people through small contributions that can make a big difference,” he said.

The comedian further claimed that some of his contributions happen privately and are never publicised on social media, adding that he has spent his own money helping people without seeking public recognition.
“I wish you knew how much of my own money I have spent helping people behind the scenes without ever posting about it on social media,” he added.
Arap Uria maintained that his charitable work is driven by personal conviction rather than financial gain, insisting that helping vulnerable members of society is an important part of his life.
“My community work is not a business; it is a calling. I work hard for what I have and I will continue using my influence and resources to change lives,” he stated.
He also urged critics to avoid making assumptions about his intentions, arguing that people should not condemn activities they do not fully understand.
“You don’t have to understand my mission, but please don’t disrespect what you don’t know,” he said.
He concluded his message with a religious appeal, expressing disappointment over the criticism directed at him.
“May God forgive you cause you don’t know what you are saying,” he added.
Arap Uria’s career reflects the opportunities that social media can create for entertainers who manage to turn online popularity into commercial partnerships.
His football-related comedy has helped him build an audience, while collaborations with brands have provided opportunities beyond creating viral content.
In a September 30, 2026, report, Mpasho also highlighted his relationship with Predator Energy Drink, which he credited with helping him fulfil a long-held dream of watching his favourite football club, Chelsea, play in person.
His latest response underscores his position that his professional engagements provide an income while his community initiatives are motivated by a desire to help others.
Although discussions about his bungalow and charitable activities may continue online, Arap Uria has made it clear that he does not believe his success should be dismissed because of assumptions about his finances.
For the content creator, his growing property investment represents a milestone in a journey that began with entertaining audiences online.
He maintains that his achievements are the product of hard work and that he intends to continue using his influence and resources to support people in need.
