At least 13 people were Saturday killed in a gisly road accident along the Kerichi-Kaplog road in Bomet County.
The Saturday accident involved a 14-seater matatu, a lorry and a Mazda vehicle.
Confirming the accident, the National Police Service Spokesperson, Michael Muchiri, said the accident occurred around 3:30 pm.
The accident left 11 others injured.
Bomet County Traffic Enforcement Officer Amos Namasaka said the injured were rushed to Kaplong and Kapkatet Hospitals, where they are undergoing treatment.
Elsewhere, at least eight people were serious injured in road traffic accident in Kibarani area along Makupa-Changamwe Road.

Preliminary investigations reveal that a bus, belonging to Tahmeed Company, was being driven from Makupa towards Changamwe and upon reaching the scene of the accident, the vehicle reportedly developed a mechanical fault and hit two public service vehicles and a motorcycle.
As a result of the impact, eight people were seriously injured and were promptly rushed to Coast General Hospital for treatment.
Road accidents have been on the rise amid efforts to contain the trend.
