Family In Yatta Seeks Answers After Bodies Of Missing Man And Son Are Found In Nairobi Mortuary


A family in Yatta, Machakos County is demanding justice after the bodies of their two sons were found at the City Mortuary, Nairobi.

Boniface Kyengo, 51 and his son, Peter Ngila 26 had been missing for days before their bodies were found murdered in Kahawa West, Nairobi.

Police said they are investigating the murder. They are however yet to establish the motive of the murder.

Peter Kimeu Lavu, who lives in Kyumbuni village, said the two went missing on Friday last week, only for their bodies to be found at City Mortuary.

Area Member of Parliament Robert Ngui called for speedy investigations into the deaths and for justice to be served.

“We want to know how they died and who was behind the same and why,” he said.

Police said they are investigating the death of the two. The police said the bodies were recovered from Kahawa West area, Nairobi after suspected murder.

This is the latest such murder and recovery to be made amid concerns of many unsolved murder cases.

Police say they are investigating the cases separately.

Elsewhere in Muranga, a woman was arrested after she stabbed and killed her husband in an altercation in their house.

The man was identified as Peter Chege, 23. He had a stab wound in the chest.

The couple had quarreled over domestic issues before the woman threatened to leave their home.

It was then a scuffle broke out prompting the woman to reach out for a kitchen knife that he used to stab the man in the chest.

She later raised an alarm for help to take the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said the woman went to Maragua police station to report the murder before she was detained for grilling.

The body was moved to Muranga Level Five mortuary awaiting autopsy.

Cases of murder have been on the rise amid calls for action to solve them.
