Four people have confirmed dead, and 56 others are injured following a tragic accident involving a bus and a trailer on the Londiani – Muhoroni road.
The incident occurred on Monday night, February 25, at around 9:30 pm near Ogona junction.
A Nyaugenya bus, operating under Climax Sacco, was headed to Nairobi when it veered off the road to Londiani, colliding head -on with an oncoming trailer before crashing into a sugarcane farm.

Three female passengers and one male died instantly, while the 56 injured were rushed to various hospitals, including st Vincent Mission Hospital, Koru Mission Hospital, and Muhoroni sub-county Hospital.
Photos from the scene showed extensive damage to the bus, with shattered windows and a heavy impact on the left side.
Four critically passengers were transferred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for specialized care.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to St. Vincent de Paul Hospital Mortuary for identification and autopsy.
This crash follows a deadly accident in Kitui County on Friday, where three students from South Eastern Kenya University died after their motorcycle collide with a sand truck.
These incidents add to the growing number of road fatalities in Kenya, with data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) showing a disturbing rise in accidents in 2024.
