TikTok playlists are a useful way for content creators to organize their videos and make it easier for viewers to watch related content in a sequence. Known officially as “Creator Playlists,” this feature is especially beneficial for users who create series, tutorials, or episodic content. It improves navigation on your profile and keeps your followers engaged by allowing them to binge-watch related videos without having to search manually.
TikTok Playlists
The TikTok playlist feature is currently available to select creators who meet certain eligibility criteria. Generally, you need to have a Creator or Business account and a minimum number of followers, often around 10,000, though this threshold may change based on region and platform updates. Once eligible, you can group your public videos into organized sets that appear at the top of your profile, directly under your bio and above your video grid.
Creating Your First Playlist
To create a playlist, open the TikTok app and go to your profile. If you’re eligible, you will see a “Sort videos into playlists” or “Create playlist” button right above your video feed. Tap on this button to get started. You’ll be prompted to enter a name for your playlist. Choose a name that reflects the content you’ll include—such as “Fashion Tips,” “Funny Skits,” or “Fitness Series.”
After naming your playlist, select videos from your existing content to add. Keep in mind that only public videos can be added to playlists, and a single video can only appear in one playlist at a time. Once you’ve selected the videos, arrange them in the order you want viewers to watch. Tap “Create” or “Done” to finalize your playlist.
Managing and Editing Playlists
Once a playlist is created, you can always go back and make changes. To edit a playlist, navigate to your profile and tap on the playlist you want to modify. From there, you can reorder the videos, remove any you no longer want included, or rename the playlist. If you delete a playlist, the videos will remain on your profile but will no longer be grouped under that playlist.

This organization not only improves the user experience but also helps drive more views to your older content by surfacing it in a structured and accessible way.
Using Playlists Strategically
Playlists are ideal for creators who produce series-based content or thematic collections. For example, a chef can group recipes under different playlists like “Quick Meals” or “Holiday Specials,” while a fashion influencer might have playlists for “Styling Tips” and “Haul Reviews.” This helps followers find specific content more easily and encourages them to watch multiple videos in one sitting.
Furthermore, playlists can be used as a branding tool. By consistently labeling and structuring your playlists, you enhance your profile’s overall look and feel, making it more professional and user-friendly.
