How to un-repost on TikTok


If you accidentally reposted a video or simply changed your mind, you may be wondering: how do you un-repost on TikTok? You can usually remove a repost in just a few steps without deleting the original video.

How to Un-Repost a Video on TikTok

  1. Open TikTok.
  2. Find the video you reposted.
  3. Tap the Share button on the right side of the video.
  4. Tap Remove repost.

Your repost will then be removed.

How to Find a Video You Reposted

If you cannot find the video:

  • Go to your Profile.
  • Open the Reposts tab, if available.
  • Select the reposted video.
  • Tap Share.
  • Choose Remove repost.

You can also find the video through your watch history or by searching for the original video again.

What Happens When You Remove a Repost?

Removing a repost:

  • Removes the repost from your account.
  • Stops you from recommending it through your repost activity.
  • Does not delete the original video.
  • Does not affect the original creator’s post.

What If “Remove Repost” Is Missing?

Try the following:

  • Make sure you are viewing the exact video you reposted.
  • Restart TikTok.
  • Update the TikTok app.
  • Open the video directly from your Reposts tab.
