Wangari Maathai Road, Limuru Road, and Kolobot Road.
In its announcement, KeNHA stated, “Kipande Road will be partially closed on a single bound at a time with diversion to Ngara Road.

All traffic will be rerouted through Embu – Nairobi Highway/Prof.
Wangari Maathai Road, Kipande Road, Limuru Road, and Kolobot Road during this period.”
This project is part of KeNHA’s ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure and ensure better connectivity within Nairobi.
KeNHA Director General, Engineer Kungu Ndung’u, highlighted the significance of this development in improving road safety and efficiency.
He urged motorists to exercise caution around the work zones, adhere to the traffic management plan, and cooperate with police and traffic marshals present at the site.
“Motorists are requested to exercise caution around the work zones and to follow the proposed traffic management plan, as well as cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site,” Ndung’u stated.
A detailed map of the diversion routes and specific sections of Kipande Road to be closed will be provided.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
This announcement follows a previous advisory from KeNHA regarding the temporary closure of part of the Nairobi Southern Bypass, from the Ole Sereni Interchange to the Ngong Road Interchange (both carriageways), which is scheduled from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, to Sunday, January 5, 2025, at midnight.
