MP Peter Orero claps back at Larry Madowo, Kenyans following clash with journalist


Kibra legislator Peter Orero has proved defiant barely hours after he was exposed and duly called out for flouting traffic rules.

The politician on Friday, October 10, 2025, took to social media to respond to critics who mauled him online after he was exposed for driving on the wrong side of the road.

In a post sighted by Nairobi News, the MP shared a photos of himself planting a tree and accompanied it with a cryptic caption which rubbed countless netizens the wrong way.

Whilst many people expected an apology from Orero, the lawmaker proved defiant and sarcastically posted on his Facebook page with the same slur with which he lashed out at Larry Madowo in a clip that has fast gone viral.

“Take care of your environment, safisha takataka. Happy Mazingira Day!” he wrote.

Rogue Politician?

The politician tried to take advantage of Mazingira theme of the day to cover up for his unfortunate conduct, but that was not the case.

As though they had eagerly been waiting for him, Kenyans immediately launched a scathing attack on the MP.

Many reminded him that his conduct does not befit the status of a leader placed in office by the same public he looks down on.

Irate netizens who thronged the comments section of his post with all sorts of lectures and insults, told the MP that the post he currently holds is in trust of the public, that he didn’t take himself to parliament absent the voters’ support.

Some who vote in his constituency even vowed to teach him a lesson in the 2027 elections.

Orero made headlines on Thursday, October 9, albeit all for wrong reasons.

Efforts by Larry to block his vehicle were met with insults, a move that angered many Kenyans.

A mother of all trolls he faced following his acts and subsequent actions after being caught flouting traffic rules.
