KRG The Don explodes back online, flaunts wads of cash to shut down ‘broke’ rumours

Dancehall star KRG The Don has dramatically resurfaced online, clapping back at critics who spent weeks claiming he had gone bankrupt.

For a while, the flashy artist had been completely MIA, no posts, no sightings, no usual flexes, leaving fans, fellow celebrities and curious Kenyans wondering where he had disappeared to.

His silence sparked a wildfire of speculation, with many netizens convinced that the once-loud Don had finally run out of cash.

But on Thursday morning, November 27, KRG emerged with a vengeance.

The musician posted a video of himself driving, addressing the “broke” allegations head-on and he did not mince his words.

According to him, his silence had nothing to do with financial struggles; instead, he was simply busy grinding behind the scenes.

KRG said people who truly make money do not spend their days making noise online.

He urged his critics to stop obsessing over him and channel their energy into something productive.

And then came the warning shot: KRG demanded that no one ever mention his name and poverty in the same sentence.

“Vijana watauni, vijana hawajielewi kabisa. Kazi ni kupiga kelele saa ile mtu amenyamaza, anafanya vitu zake. Wacha kelele nyingi, hii pesa ndio upate lazima mtu aconcentrate na kazi yake na maisha yake. Nyinyi mumeanza kufikiria vitu yenu ya kijinga. Niliwambia, mukitaja jina ya KRG, hapana ongeza umasikini ndani. Nitowe kwa hiyo ujinga yenu kabisa, kwa sababu mimi ni a blessed child. You cannot write off KRG. Usiwai fikiria unaheza write off,” he fired back.

To drive the point home, KRG pulled out three massive wads of Sh1,000 notes, fresh from a sealed polythene bag straight from the Central Bank of Kenya, his ultimate proof that he is far from broke.

Kwa hio, any time mukitaka kutaje jina yangu, usitaje umasikini ndani. Hii ingine, pia, ni pesa. So mii na shangaga nyingi, just because mtu amenyamaza, anafanya kazi zake, nyinyi munaaanza kuongea mavi huko online. Usitaje umasikini,” he added.

The video immediately lit up social media.

Fans cheered him on and praised his wealth, while critics rolled their eyes, insisting that “real money doesn’t make noise”.

Many argued that the musician was simply trying to salvage his image with a flashy online stunt.

Regardless, KRG The Don made one thing very clear: He is not broke, and he refuses to be written off.
