A man attacked and killed his father in a domestic feud in Gatukuyu village, Gatundu, Kiambu County.
Police said John Njuguna Ngugi died in hospital after arrival. He succumbed to his injuries following the October 20, 2025 incident
The body was moved to a local mortuary pending an autopsy.
The suspect was later arrested in the area by locals who had called police hours later.
A piece of wood suspected to have been used in the commission of the offence was also recovered at the scene, police said.
Murder cases have been on the rise in the area, most of them linked to land disputes.
Police say they are solving the cases that have been reported.
Some of the cases are pending before courts while others are yet to be solved, police said.
Elsewhere in Kware, Embakasi, Nairobi a member of the street families collapsed and died. He was identified as Moris Muriuki, 33, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.
