More and more young Kenyans have decided to try their hand in politics and social media commentator Maverick Aoko is not an exception.
The vocal tweep has disclosed her ambition to vie for a political seat in the upcoming 2027 General Election.
Nairobi News has learnt Maverick Aoko, a chronic anti-government crusader will be vying for the Nairobi Women Representative seat in 2027.

Aoko announces her interest to unseat Esther Passaris via her Twitter account on Monday, August 11.
In a tweet sighted by this publication, Aoko threw some cold salvos at Passaris while announcing her bid.
The lass claimed she can beat Passaris in the upcoming election because the latter is a weak candidate.
According to Aoko, Passaris has only superceded her with age only and nothing else.
She vowed to fight for the commoners by fully legislating important issues and not delegate.
She insisted her key areas of interest once voted in would be to untax Kenyans, make sanitary towels affordable and rehabilitate teen mothers.
Aoko insisted Nairobi deserves impeccable leaders like her.

For you I’ll legislate, not delegate

Good governance I’ll instigate
Untax Always, make pads affordable,
Rehabilitate teen mums, it’s doable
Nairobi deserves the impeccable. Vote Aoko,” she tweeted.

Her announcement was received by mixed reactions from Kenyans online.
While some Kenyans encouraged her to go forth with her ambition, others held she is not fit for any office owing to her incessant rants.
Many event went as far as noting she is nothing but an attention seeker who will not bring any changes if elected.
It should be noted Aoko has been vocal, always criticising the Kenya Kwanza government and anyone who crosses her path.
Her many exposes and rants online have over the years endeared her to countless Kenyans.
