Revered Reggae emcee, John Maina alias MC Fullstop has been laid to rest.
MC Fullstop was buried at the Lang’ata Cemetery on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in an emotional ceremony that saw the attendance of the movers and shakers of the industry.
Everything was running smoothly until MC Fullstop’s children took to the podium to eulogise their late father.

Mourners could not hold back their years as Fullstop’s son Michael Maina and daughter Sheba Maina took to the podium to bid their dad farewell.
In videos seen by this writer, Michael was captured reading the tribute aloud as his sister Sheba wept uncontrollably beside him.
Through their tribute, MC Fullstop’s children eulogised the deceased not just as an entertainer but a devoted dad who brought joy to their family.
“Dad, you were a hero even before holding that microphone. You have been the man who held our hands, wiped our tears, and made us laugh. When we saw you on the stage, we saw another side of you. You are a gift, not just a gift of music but of making people feel alive. To the world, you were an entertainer; to us, you were home. You taught us that life is not just about surviving but living. You taught us that a man’s legacy is the lives he touched. We will miss your voice, your laughter, and even how you would turn an ordinary day into a celebration. Rest now, Dad. The stage is quiet, but the music plays on in our hearts forever,” Michael said amidst sobs.

MC Fullstop’s children’s sorrow infected mourners who could not help but condole with them with quite a number visibly hurt following the star’s demise.
As earlier reported by Nairobi News, MC Fullstop passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 after being admitted to the hospital for about a week.
Prior to his demise, the entertainer had been in and out of hospital for years, battling tuberculosis that eventually caused his lungs to collapse.
His death shook the country with countless people, especially Reggae fanatics who mourned emotionally mourned him with touching posts on social media.
