A ten-year-old minor died after a wall collapsed on him in a village in Suna, Migori County.
Police said the incident happened on April 2 in Nyamilu village. The victim was a grade two pupil at Bondo Nyironge Primary School.
He is said to have been in their semi-permanent house when a wall collapsed and trapped him fatally.
The police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
Elsewhere, a prison warder is among three people who drowned in separate incidents reported.
Police said constable Shadrack Mutati attached to the Kisii prisons was taking a bath in River Migori on April 2 when he drowned.
He is said to have slipped into the swelling river and drowned. His body was swept downstream and efforts to trace and retrieve it continued on Friday.
He had been at a construction site and left his friend there before he walked to the river to bathe when the incident happened. He had visited a friend in the area and planned to return to his work station on the day he drowned.
In Bondo, Siaya County, a body was found in a trench at Nyangoma village after a suspected suicide incident, police said.
The deceased was later identified as David Yuaya Ochieng, 44. Police said his body had been mauled by dogs in the area. It is not clear how and why he drowned at the scene.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
In Lolgoriani, Narok County, the body of Brian Michu, 26 who had gone missing on March 29, 2026 was retrieved from river Mogor on April 2.
This was after the body was found partially submerged in the river by local. Police said a missing person report had been made by his employers prompting a search.
The deceased was a herdsman in the area and circumstances surrounding the drowning were not clear, officials said as the body was moved to the mortuary for other procedures.
