Content creator Oga Obinna recently reminisced about his past generosity toward one of his former lovers.
Obinna recalled a time when he was deeply in love and lavished money and gifts on his then-girlfriend.
He revealed that he once gifted her a staggering Sh1.8 million in cash.
Speaking to TikToker Flossy Trukid on Friday, December 19, the former comedian recounted not only gifting his ex-lover Sh1.8 million but also several cars.
He shared this detail in response to a question about the largest amount he had ever spent on a woman.
According to Obinna, his generosity made headlines and sparked controversy at the time.
“The biggest amount was Ksh1.8 million for my ex-lover. The story was already public and became a huge scandal. She had a car loan that she hadn’t told me about, and when I found out, I realised how stressed she was,” he revealed.
Obinna stated that he offered the cash after learning that his partner was under immense stress due to the undisclosed car loan.
Although he wasn’t in love with her at the time, he respected her and felt they were building something together, which motivated him to help resolve the issue.
“I went to the bank and withdrew Sh2 million. I gave her Sh1.8 million, then we went to another bank where I deposited the money to clear the loan. At the time, I did not love her, but I respected her, and we were building something together, so I felt that if there was a problem, we should solve it,” Obinna said.
He recounted withdrawing nearly Sh2 million from the bank, giving her Sh1.8 million, and then going to another bank to deposit the money and clear the loan.
Obinna stated that he was later compelled to share bank receipts online to verify the transaction after questions arose about whether the payment had actually been made.
He added that the situation escalated when the woman made claims that prompted him to publicly provide proof of withdrawal, including receipts with his signature, timestamps, and transaction details, to demonstrate that the loan had indeed been settled with the money he provided.
“Later, it turned into a big online scandal because she said many things about the situation. I had to share the receipts to show my signature, the date and time I withdrew the money, and proof that the Sh1.8 million was used to clear the loan,” he added.
In addition to cash gifts, Obinna mentioned that he has also bought cars for women he has been involved with.
He disclosed that he has purchased at least three cars in total for women, including two for one of his baby mamas.
The YouTuber described himself as someone who goes the extra mile in relationships, stating that when he loves, he does so fully.
“That is the largest amount of cash I have ever given at once. Apart from cash, I have also bought cars. I have bought about three cars in total, and I bought two of them for one of my baby mamas,” he shared.
Obinna’s revelation is supported by numerous social media posts where he publicly announced the car purchases and handed them over, particularly to one specific baby mama.
