Afterwards, Paul Fisher started his solo career by releasing house music songs under the stage name Fisher. His first solo single, “Ya Kidding” was officially released in June 2017.

Months later, he announced the extended play, Oi Oi in November. “Stop It” and “Ya Didn’t” songs were part of the extended play.

The following year in March, he debuted “Crowd Control”, which was number 116 on the 2018 Triple J Hottest 100.

Five months later, he announced the “Losing It” single. It was number one on the ARIA Club tracks Chart. Additionally, it was among the top 50 on the billboards Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Dance/Mix Show Airplay and Dance Club Songs. On the Dance Club Songs, it was number one in the United States. The single earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

Subsequently, the single became number two on the 2019 Triple J Hottest 100.

Paul Fisher debuted the “You Little Beauty” single in May 2019 and it was number one on the Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. 

The DJ released his second extended play titled Freaks on 31st March 2020. He had earlier released a lead single with the same name on 20th march. Another song from his extended play was “Wanna Go Dancin’”.

A few years later, he debuted his first remix song,  “World, Hold On(Fisher rework)”, a remix of Bob Sinclair and Steve Edwards song from 2006.

In 2023, he announced “Take It Off” and “Atmosphere” singles.

The following year, he released the remix, “Somebody(2024)” featuring Chris Lake, Sante Sansone, Gotye and Kimbra.
