Police recover cannabis, arrest Four in Nairobi anti-drug operations

Police officers from South B Police Station in Makadara Sub-County, Nairobi Region, on Wednesday conducted a targeted operation along the Ngong River in the Kayaba slums, leading to the recovery of suspected narcotics.

The operation, led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), saw officers raid a shanty where they recovered six kilograms of a substance believed to be cannabis sativa, along with 29 rolls of a green plant material also suspected to be cannabis.

The drugs are believed to have been intended for distribution within the area.

In a separate incident later the same evening, officers from Kahawa West Police Station in Kasarani Sub-County arrested a suspect during a routine patrol in the Kenyatta Market area.

The suspect was found in possession of 150 rolls of a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa, as well as three cookies believed to have been prepared using cannabis.

They also emphasized the importance of public cooperation in supporting security and law enforcement efforts.
