President William Ruto has conferred prestigious awards on dozens of politicians, security bosses, and other high-ranking officials for their distinguished and outstanding service to the nation.
The awards were presented to individuals who have excelled in various capacities and responsibilities, the president stated.
Among the recipients of the Second Class Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.) were Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Kahariri Charles Muriu, Secretary to the Cabinet Wanjau Mercy Wangui Kiiru, Deputy Chief Justice Lady Justice Mwilu Philomena Mbete, Taita Taveta Governor Andrew Mwadime, Trade Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvuria, and Minority Leader Junet Mohamed.
The Third Class Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H.) was awarded to prominent security leaders, including Army Commander Lt. Gen. Tarus David Kimaiyo Chemwaina, Lt. Gen. Mwinyikai Juma Shee, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Fatuma Gaiti, Maj. Gen. Otieno Paul Owuor, Maj. Gen. Ng’ang’a Thomas Njoroge, and Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja.
Recipients of the First Class Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (C.B.S.) included Deputy Inspector General of Kenya Police Eliud Lagat, Deputy Inspector General of APS Gilbert Masengeli, Registrar of Judiciary Mokaya Winfridah Boyani, and Director of Public Prosecutions Ingonga Renson Mulele. Members of Parliament Raphael Wanjala, David Kangogo Bowen, Vincent Musau, Francis Kimani, and Lydia Mnene were also recognized in this category. Additionally, military leaders such as Maj. Gen. Mutuku Stephen, Maj. Gen. Kinuthia Erick Mbugua, Maj. Gen. Burje Abdulkadir Mohammed, and prisons boss Aranduh Patrick Mwiti received awards for their service.
The Third Class Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S.) was conferred on judiciary officials, including Justice Maureen Atieno Onyango, Justice Caroline Njeri Kabucho, Justice Letizia Muthoni Wachira, Justice Everlyne Sylvia Olwande, Justice Antony Oteng’o Ombwayo, Justice Esther Nyambura Maina, and Justice Alfred Mabeya.
The ceremony honored individuals across various fields, recognizing their exceptional dedication to public service and commitment to national development.
