Salary is Sh30k: Netizens scramble for chance as Nyota Ndogo seeks to hire private chef


Since time immemorial, Kenya has been dealing with the rising case of unemployment.

Employment opportunities have become scarce, forcing Kenyans to go that extra mile just but to make ends meet.

With that in mind, singer Nyota Ndogo recently thought it wise to help in the little way she can by announcing a vacancy for a private chef.

Taking to her social media pages, the mother of two disclosed that she is looking to hire a private chef for a period of one month to cook and cater to her Danish husband’s guest’s who will be visiting the country soon.

The singer noted that she is a talented cook herself but wants to hire a chef so that she can have some free time to entertain her husband’s guests from abroad.

The musician turned hotel owner revealed that she will offer accommodation, food and a Sh 30,000 salary for a one month engagement.

Her post attracted the attention of countless job seekers who camped in the comments section to try their luck.

The number of people who showed interest in Nyota Ndogo’s opportunity drew a clear picture of how many Kenyans are struggling with joblessness.

Some who commented, seeking to be considered for the position stated they were willing to work for even less money.

Well, after going through the applications, Nyota Ndogo finally found the perfect chef and duly announced the same through social media about two days later.

“Sasa nilichokua nakitaka nimekipata.huyu amejua kujieleza yani amekuja sokoni akasema anauza nini na akaja na anachouza.wengi wamekuja nakusema najua kupika nipe hio kazi but hawana ushaidi.nimepata mpishi ahsanteni sana.inshallah wakati mwengine,” she posted.
