A well-known businessman is mourning the loss of his wife, who passed away due to alleged medical negligence during a cosmetic surgery procedure.
Reports indicate that the woman was scheduled for surgery but was treated by a doctor who performed the operation incorrectly.
Consequently, her intestines were perforated, leading to a severe infection after stool leaked into her stomach.
Influencer Amira shared on social media that following the infection, the woman was rushed to a city hospital for another surgery aimed at cleaning her stomach.
During this procedure, doctors discovered that her intestines had been perforated five times.
Despite the emergency intervention, her condition worsened, and she was eventually admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she later succumbed.
In the wake of her death, many Kenyans, including former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, have expressed their condolences to the grieving family.
Sonko wrote, “Accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your lovely wife.
May the Almighty God cover you and your family with His unending grace and provide you with the strength to accept her passing.”
He also reminisced about the good times they shared, particularly highlighting her support during his gubernatorial campaign in Mombasa.
Social media users have been vocal about the dangers associated with cosmetic surgery.
Amira remarked, “I hope this post saves many people out there,” urging caution when considering such procedures.
Another user, Austin Omondi, called for stricter regulations on cosmetic clinics, noting that many are opening without adequate oversight, putting patients at risk.
Bravin Yuri echoed similar sentiments, encouraging women to pursue healthier lifestyles rather than resorting to surgery. He cautioned, “Shortcuts can be dangerous.
Every issue shouldn’t be solved through surgery; consider lifestyle changes for your well-being.”
